Grandma Kay Naescher
It had been a rough couple weeks before Grandma Naescher passed away. On the night of July 5th, she was taken from the Philip Hospital to the Rapid City Hospital. She had fluid on her lungs and on her brain. They tried various medications that week and then they tried to put a feeding tube down her throat and her MS had caused a hernia in her esophagaus. The Dr. said the only way to keep her alive was to insert a feeding tube. Her living will had said no feeding tubes, so there were no options. Her children had decided to move her to Hospice on July 11 and she passed away on the 14th. Her funeral was on July 17th. She was 81 years old.
