Grandma & Papa Naescher Visit

Grandma Twila & Papa John came on Friday for the weekend. Twila, the girls, & I went to a craft fair on Saturday. We had so much fun. We baked sugar cookies & frosted them that evening. On Sunday, the girls headed back to Rapid with Grandma & Papa. They were so excited to go to Grandma's house. Last night Twila sent me some pictures of them playing dress up so I think they are having fun.

Gary & I are headed to Rapid tonight. We have a full day tomorrow planned. I am meeting up with 2 old co-workers for breakfast & lunch and then we have family pictures and a few other errands to run. Then we will spend our Thanksgiving at the Farm with Chris, Lucy & Bart. We will go to my parents Friday and then head home Sunday. We are looking forward to a mini vacation!!

Today it has also been 4 years since my Grandma Elsie passed away on Thanksgiving. Some days it seems like it was yesterday and other times it seems like it has been 10 years. Either way I didn't think I would be able to move on & live without her, but somehow God gives you the strength to move on. I miss her all the time, but am thankful for the time I did have with her.

Broken Chain
Little did we know that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you , you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

House Pictures

We have all our boxes in the house unpacked except for the girls toy room and my office. But, our garage is stuffed full of more boxes!!!  Although, we can do those as we have time so that will be nicer!!  Feels good to have our house put together for now anyway.

It was a crazy busy week....  I have started helping a 78 year old guy from our church who owns a tax / bookkeeping business in town. I am working on bookkeeping for now and am helping him out 2 nights a week though tax season.

We just found out that Gary's parents are coming to spend next weekend with us so we are excited about that.

Well, here are our house pictures.

We Are All Moved & Halloween

The past 2 weeks have been so crazy!!!  We closed on our house October 28. We moved quite a bit that night and Saturday. We moved more stuff during the week and by this last Friday had everything out of the rental & cleaned. I cannot tell you how glad we are to be done with the rental. We are slowly getting things unpacked & put away in our new house. It's going to take awhile to get all done, but someday we will get there. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to post some pictures of our house.

The girls had a lot of fun on Halloween. Grant had a Trick-or-Treat Street where you could walk down main street and all the businesses would hand out candy. There were probably 6 blocks worth of businesses and by the time we were done, the girls had plenty of candy. We went to a couple other houses in Grant where we knew people and then a few in Madrid.
