1 week to go

We are closing on our house on Monday at 4pm. We can hardly wait. We are so excited and can't wait for the girls to see it. We always ask Malaya every morning when she gets up what she drempt about and usually her answer is always Princesses. Well, lately, it's been the new house.

This weekend we are going to be super busy. I am having my bridesmaid dress sized at the boutique and Gary has to get measured for his tux. Then we are going to get the paint & supplies for the girls' rooms. Then I won a $20 gift certificate to a restaurant so we're going to try that out tonight and then go to church tonight. Tomorrow we will finish all of our packing and we have bible study in the late afternoon.

I think this will be one of the only times that I say I'm looking forward to Monday.

Happy Valentine's Day

We have had a busy couple of weeks. On the Feb 2, Twila came to spend the night with us and then took the girls to Wall for the night. On Wednesday, Feb 3, John & Twila took the girls to the stock show. Malaya loves going and seeing all the animals. Then Twila stayed with us through Monday. We had a busy weekend of packing, superbowl party, and picking out paint and carpet for the girls' rooms in our new house.

This week has been about the same. We packed some and had our church class. We are counting the days until we get to move. Right now that seems to be our focus and then once we are moved and have this house all cleaned up, then it will be the focus to get our house sold...fast!! Yesterday my parents came down so I could look over my dad's taxes. Then they took Malaya to Kohl's for her to pick out hers and Miranda's Valentine's gift. Malaya kept complaining that her ear was hurting and then she just cried and cried. So, away we went to the dr. and another ear infection. Although it's been 4 months since her last one so that's good.

Friday night Gary came home from work with a surprise for me - purple tulips! I was so surprised and just love them. Then today I also got a nice card and a pair of lounge pants/shirt. I was so happy because normally he doesn't surprise me.

Miranda is 10 Months!!!

It doesn't seem possible that another month has gone by. At her last appointment for her ear infection she weighed 17 lb 9 oz. She is learning something new all the time. She can shake her head "yes" and "no". She can blow kisses, wave bye bye, and give you 5. She still prefers to crawl than walk. Malaya walked at 10 months, but Miranda isn't going to. Malaya also had a whole mouthful of teeth, and Miranda only has 2. A few are playing with her, but no others have poked through. We took these pictures last night.
