Spring Came Early

Last week was just beautiful here. It was in the 70's. We went to the park 2 days and had a picnic lunch and played. Then on Friday, after the girls bugging me all day, I finally agreed to let them go swimming, even though I told them it was too cold. Well, after about 15 min, they said it was too cold and they were done. I proved my point :)

On Saturday we cleaned out our garage. We rented a storage unit to store all our garage sale and keep items in. (Mostly garage sale stuff) Anyway, our garage was so packed you couldn't even walk in it so we had no room to even sort through things. We got about 75% sorted through. We still need to get a shed to get a lot of things out of there, but it's so much better than it was. We will probably have to have a garage sale every month for 6 months to even possibly get everything gone or close to it.

Sunday continued with sorting through the girls' clothes and then cleaning the toy room. I forgot to take before pictures of it but you couldn't walk in there either. Now we can actually play in there.

On Saturday 2 high school juniors who were dating were killed in a car accident. I've heard it happened around midnight and they weren't found until 4am. They were both good kids. I've heard speed was a factor and they were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle and died on impact. Well, the girl, Miss Katie had been reading & playing with the preschoolers since last Fall. Malaya really liked her. She's been asking a lot of questions again and really wanted to go to her funeral today. I told Malaya that maybe we should just send her parents a card and she could say what she wanted to in the card. That worked. Then when she got home from preschool today she had made a picture for Miss Katie. She asked me if I could mail it to her parents so that when they went to heaven they could give it to Miss Katie from Malaya. Gotta love how their minds work :)

Disney on Ice

We had to go back home last weekend because Gary had his annual check up on his thyroid. We left Saturday morning and got to Aunt Bonnie's, where we stayed the weekend, around 2pm. We then got Miranda's 3 year pictures taken at JCPenney's. Her pictures turned out great and we didn't even have to bribe her!!!

Saturday night we went out to supper with John, Twila, Chris & Lucy. We ate at Ruby Tuesday's so it was nice to visit with them.

On Sunday we hung out with Bonnie at her house and then I had a Scentsy party from 3-5. My parents as well as Gary, Malaya, & Miranda went to Disney on Ice. I think the girls had so much fun!! They had lots to talk about!! Then after that all of us, my parents, and Sheila & Mike went out to supper at Famous Dave's.

We got up Monday and went to Gary's Dr. Apt and then headed home.

Wednesday was Gary's 29th Birthday. Instead of a cake, I baked him a homemade apple pie. I forgot to take a picture of Gary with the pie before we ate it :(
