Busy, Busy, Busy

I'm not sure what we've done over the last few days, but 2 weeks have gone by since I last posted.  Let's see....our weeks consist of Girl Scouts, Piano Lessons & Practicing, MOPS, spelling words, and homework!!!

Last weekend Gary took the girls to the airport open house.  The girls said they had lots of fun looking at the planes. They were giving free rides, but the girls weren't old enough to go.

Malaya also got to finally go on a motorcycle ride with Daddy.

Uncle Chris & Aunt Lucy send the girls these NY T-Shirts in the mail from their trip. The girls loved them - lots of sparkles!!

Friday night at the elementary school they had a carnival so we went. The girls had fun, but they didn't get any cotton candy :(  By the time we got to that booth, the carnival was over.

Gary has been helping Ron Hagan pick corn again this year so the girls went out today to ride in the combine with him. Malaya rode for almost 6 hours and Miranda about an hour.

My parents are coming this weekend for my birthday so we are excited!!

Fun Weekend with Friends

We had a really busy weekend. Friday night we went to Shar's for a movie night.  We watched a movie upstairs while the kiddos watched one downstairs.

Saturday Malaya had a soccer game in Ogallala. When we got home, we had 3 friends come over and play. They all had so much fun and got along really well.

Sunday after church we went out to Greg & Echo's. They have a pumpkin patch, gords, & Indian corn. We rode their Rancher over to the patch and then picked some. We then went back to the chicken coop and fed the chickens. We did a couple craft projects and just had fun.

I was surprised when I was selected as the Employee of the Month

Fall Soccer

Malaya is now playing soccer.  When we went to Zoe's game the other Saturday the coach asked me if Malaya wanted to play too because they were short team members. I asked Malaya and she said YES!!  She was pretty excited.  She played in her first game last Saturday and when she was the goalie she kept out 2 goals!  She was pretty excited.

I got a girl weekend at Shar's this last weekend!  We had so much fun. We watched 3 movies and stayed up late talking!! The girls got a daddy weekend.  Sounds like they had fun too.

Labor Day Weekend in South Dakota

We headed to my parents out Friday morning.  We got some sad news on our way home that Great-Aunt Dobbie had passed away during the night in her sleep.  We are really going to miss her. She was the last one of all her siblings to go.

We got back around 12:30 and then had lunch and went around Rapid shopping. Friday night we met up with Larry & Tera at Applebees for some drinks and catching up. It was great to see them.

Saturday we ended up going shopping at the mall in the morning and then went up to ride the alpine slide in the afternoon. We all enjoyed that and then went to Armidillios for ice cream afterwards - yummy!!  That evening we went to Sheila & Mike's for supper. We got to watch the Husker game too!

Sunday Gary & I went on a motorcycle ride through the hills with Chris & Lucy, Gary's dad, and Brian Naescher. We went out Sheridan Lake road to Sugar Shack for lunch. Then went up to Lead/Deadwood and down through Cheyenne Crossing through the canyon to Spearfish. Then we split off from the group and went and saw Bonnie and Kathy & Delbert at Wild Bill Campground. They were having a family reunion there. Then we headed back to town and came in over by Canyon Lake. It was a fun day.

That evening Mike & Sheila and Aunt Nadine were at Mom's for supper and then some of us sat in the hot tub.

Monday morning we all went out to breakfast at Marlin's and then we got home around 5:00 that evening.

1st Day of 1st Grade

August 14 was Malaya's 1st day of 1st Grade. She knew exactly where her classroom was, which was good because I didn't.  I think she had a fun day. I can't image how much she will learn and change in these 9 months.  Miranda will start preschool on the 21st.

Tubing

Friday the girls and I went to the Imperial pool with some friends. Then we went to their house for supper. It was the family who let us borrow their loader for the cement so we brought some steaks for supper. Then his wife and I put up 89 cups of corn.

Saturday night we went to another friend's house for a BBQ. It was fun. I got to shoot my gun there. I hadn't tried it out since Gary put the red dot on it and I love it!

Sunday we went to church down in Imperial and then went out to Pizza Hut for supper. Malaya really wanted to go tubing so when we got back we headed up to Sutherland. Storm clouds were rolling in so we couldn't stay out very long, but had lots of fun. Paige got to go with us and we all rode the tube. We even got Miranda out on it. Then Malaya wanted to ride it by herself and she did great!!
