Gary was on call for the weekend and Malaya didn't have school Friday so I decided to take the girls and head back to SD. We left around 8:30 and got to Rapid around 2:30. We had some errands to do an got to Mom and Dad's around 4:30. Aunt Bonnie then came over for supper and then the two of us left around 6:30 to go set up the quilt.
We started laying it on the rack and then realized that the stuffing that I got was a full size instead of queen. So, we had to run to he fabric store and got there just 10 minutes before it closed. So, we went back to Bonnie's house and were up until 11:30 getting it all ready and then tied the first row.
Saturday we got up and started back at it. Twila got there around noon and helped us tie too. Then my parents, the girls, Sheila & Mike came later too. We finally got it all finished up around 10:30 that night. We even made a label.
I just LOVE it!! The clothes themselves have lots of memoris in it, but the process of making does as well. Aunt Bonnie & I started it back in the Fall of 2010 when Gary went to school. I had a VERY hard time being by myself and our Wednesday quilting nights helped me get through the weeks and to have something to look forward to. Malaya was 3 and Miranda 1 at the time so they made it challenging but so much fun all at the same time.
