Grandma Audrey & Papa Clark Visit

My parents came down on the 17th (Friday). We made suckers out of candy molds. Then on Saturday Gary had to work so we played games around the house. Saturday night they took us out to dinner in Paxton at the winery for pizza!!  They were going to go home on Monday, but ended up heading out Sunday because there was a snow storm predicted. We had fun, but it went way too fast.

Sunday night our church had a Sweetheart Dinner that Gary & I signed up to attend. We had our choice of prime rib or chicken cordon bleu. Of course we both had the prime rib and it was excellent. Then they had the Perkins County High School swing choir perform for entertainment. They did a wonderful job!

This week I was asked by Malaya's friend, Michelle's mom (Pam) to watch Michelle from 6-12 and then take her to school with Malaya. Her mom was going to start subbing as a cook at the school and had to train this week. Well, when she picked up Michelle on Monday she said a girl had quit and Pam was offered a full time job immediately, so she asked if I would be willing to watch Michelle. It would only be until school is out and if they didn't have school, I wouldn't have her. I agreed to do it and so far this week has gone well. The girls play together really well.

I have my first Scentsy home party tonight. I'm really excited for it and hope it goes well. Well, here are some pictures from the past week.

Happy Valentine's Day

The girls were very excited about Valentine's Day. Malaya made out all her valentine's for her classmates. We also made these adorable butterfly valentine's for our family. Grandma Twila & Papa John also sent us a package in the mail. The girls got some new clothes, Charlotte's Web, and a Pedicure Set. Gary & I got a Baby Cakes maker so we made those yesterday. Grandma Audrey & Papa Clark sent the girls each $10 to go shopping with. We had a a good day.

Snow!!!

The girls have been waiting patiently for snow for awhile now. The news had been predicting a big snow storm for Friday and had a blizzard warning out. Well, they were right!!!  We woke up to snow & wind Friday morning. Gary went to work & didn't come home until 1am. He said everyone was working and they had a ton of outages!  Our power was out for around 1.5 hours, but thankfully it was in the afternoon so it was still light out. It was a long day for everyone, but Gary said it was very rewarding when you knew you had turned someone's power back on.

We took Paige to her 2nd visit to the vet for shots. A month ago she weighed 14.3 pounds. Saturday she was 24.7.!!!  She is definitely growing like a weed. She's right at Shylow's height now. She used to be able to run underneath her so it's funny seeing them the same height.

Here's some pictures of us playing in the snow.

Malaya & Paige just played & played

The girls had so much fun

The sled looked like so much fun - Mommy had to give it a try, but Malaya couldn't get me to go anywhere

She tried & tried and finally Daddy came to the rescue

All 3 of us tried, but couldn't get Daddy to go anywhere

So, we took a picture instead

Grandma Lorraine Williamson 7-15-25 to 1-20-12

It has been a LONG 2 weeks. After a week in the hospital, Lorraine's dimentia kicked in and she wasn't able to swallow so she couldn't eat or drink anything. They moved her to the hospice house on January 13th. She passed away around 1:15am January 20th. Twila had sat by her side for almost 2 weeks and was with her when she passed.  We headed home on Sunday morning. The viewing was Monday from 5-7pm and then her funeral was Tuesday at 10.  We also purchased a new vehicle - a 2007 Chevy Suburban. With all the traveling back & forth and now with 2 dogs our car was not working!!  I'm going to post pictures of our family with Lorraine.
