Birthday Party & Christmas Programs

We have had a busy few days!!  Friday started off by taking the girls to the doctor. Malaya has some sort of virus and Miranda had an ear infection and the croupe. We're hoping they get better quickly!!

On Friday my parents and Mike & Sheila came down for Malaya's birthday party. Saturday morning Gary & Mike went pheasant hunting. They had a good time & it was Eastyn's first time actually pheasant hunting. They got 4 pheasants and 1 grouse. We cooked them up for supper that night and Mom & Dad got to eat their first pheasant.

I had baked Malaya's cake on Friday hoping we'd just have to frost it on Saturday. Well, a side of the top cake had come off when I dumped it out of the pan it just wasn't working. So, at 8:30 Saturday morning we decided to re-bake the cake. So, by the time it cooked, etc it was 11:30 and we were just starting to frost it. In the end, Mom came through & I think Malaya had a beautiful cake!

Her birthday party started at 2 and it was so much fun. We had invited all the girls from her preschool class (10) but only 4 showed up, which was actually nice to have a small group. She had a tangled themed party and we played Simon Says, Pin the Nose on Flynn Ryder, we colored tangled pictures & did a color scratch sheet. We had cake & opened presents. She got 2 barbies, a kitchen pot & pan set, a  leapfrog text game, a quilt Grandma Audrey made, a puppy backpack, stamp set, socks, wii game, board game & workbooks.

We also decorated 3 batches of sugar cookies Saturday night.

Sunday was her Church Christmas Program. She did such a good job & the Sunday School teachers put in a lot of work for it. It was so neat as a parent to watch your child in the program.

On Monday Mom made hostess cake cupcakes for Malaya to bring to school for her birthday. We did a double batch so we had extras because they are MY favorite!! :)  Monday night was Malaya's Preschool Christmas Program.  She again did a great job & we were so proud of her.

Now we have her actual birthday tomorrow and then head home for Christmas on Saturday.

Here are a bunch of pictures from our busy few days.
