Happy Easter!!!

He is Risen...He is Risen Indeed... Alleluia!!!  We have had a wonderful Easter. Last year Malaya got her tonsils out on Good Friday so we didn't get to do much for Easter. We got up this morning and the girls found their Easter Baskets & the hidden eggs. Then our church was at 7am and then breakfast afterwards.

We came home and got the turkey started smoking and then have been playing outside. It's another beautiful day out - windy of course - but not as windy as it has been. The girls have ridden the barbie car and Gary & I rode our bikes. We've been playing frisbee and fetch with Paige.

Our turkey finally got done at 3:30 - we were starving by then. Then we had mashed potatoes, broccoli rice casserole, homemade buns from The General Store, Mandarin Orange / Cookie salad, and then I made white chocolate raspberry cheesecake cupcakes for dessert. They were yummy!!!  We wish we could have gone home or had family here, but we made the best of the day & had some great memories & family time!!!

Miranda thought it was pretty funny that Daddy was riding her bike

Miranda kept asking me to take pictures of her

Happy 3rd Birthday Miranda

It does not seem possible out beautiful big girl is now 3!!!  It seems like yesterday she was born. We decided to treat the family for her birthday and we rented a motel in North Platte. We got to the motel Saturday afternoon and then went to eat at Applebees. We told them it was Miranda's birthday and they brought her out some ice cream and a brownie and they sang to her. She was pretty embarassed. Then we went back to the motetl to swim. The girls had a blast in the pool. We got up on Sunday and made a few stops and then headed home.

Miranda had a beautiful day for her birthday. It was 87 degrees out!!! We got out the slip and slide and they played in the water. We opened presents and had cupcakes. They drove the barbie car. Then last night we were eating ice cream and Miranda fell asleep while eating hers so I think she played pretty hard on her birthday.  All in all she had a really good day.

Miranda got balloons from Grandma Twila & Papa John

Balloons from G&G Naescher

Balloons from Uncle Mike & Aunt Sheila
